Sara is the founder of BarCamp Sarasota, one of the largest and fastest growing business, technology, education and economic development communities in Florida.

Sara is president of the Sarasota Chapter of the Gulf Coast Venture Forum (an angel investor network), is on the Board of Directors of the Suncoast Technology Forum and has been an active member of many community organizations: WQ Magazine,Venice Chamber of Commerce, Because Women, eWomen Network, YES 941, Venice Power Networking Group, Tampa Professional Sales Association and the Longboat, Lido, St. Armands’ Key (LLSA) Chamber where she has been recognized as a business leader, nominated “Rookie of the Year” for several years and awarded a finalist position as the LLSA “Small Business of the Year” in 2010. As an avid and effective public speaker, Sara encourages others to impact the community through self expression and serves as the president of the Sarasota Chapter Bill Gove Speech Club.
